We know your home is important to you, so it is important to us, too. That is why we protect your home before we work. If there is nowhere else for some furniture to go, it can be put in an isolated corner and protected with plastic. A containment barrier with zippers for entry can also be set up to minimize contamination in areas that are not being worked on. If you have extra floor tiles and wish to save your existing floors, we can cut along the grout lines and protect the remaining tiles.
Notice how the cast iron pipes break and eventually become “bottomed out” over time. This means that the pipe bottoms have deteriorated and disintegrated to the point that there is nothing left. This is how sewage and waste saturate and contaminate the foundation of your home and backup into it causing damage. It also allows for sewer gasses to escape the system and infiltrate the home. CONTAMINATION & DAMAGE
This is what the foundation of your home can look like if your sanitary pipes are broken, bottomed out and leaking. The waste water can backup and rise through slab penetrations to damage your home. Notice the photos where it rose and spread all along the block wall behind the kitchen. We had to break open the block wall to allow all the waste water to drain out. Obviously, these problems can be harmful to your home and your health.
